Worried it’s TOH, told my dad not to cut it down yet just in case. I’m not great with plant IDs but the leaves have a small notch on the butt end which makes me worry based on what I’ve read here
TOH, if you’re familiar with herbicides, fall is the time to act when the plant sends nutrients down to the roots.

They’re going to seed now in Portland. I’ve seen some absolute units 40-50’ around town. All the babies are at least a quarter mile away. Fuck TOH!

Sometimes called “weed tree”, “stink tree”, or “varnish tree”. Cut a notch around the trunk 1-2 inches deep, a process called girdling, and it will be dead in a couple years.

We’ve always called this a mimosa tree in my southern family. But, yes, invasive either way.
