I’ve collected plants for some years now, some from young plants, some donated, some barely alive for 10p in the shop. The stand is close to a south east facing window and plants are rotated about now & then to maximise light.
Latest addition is the banana plant (top right) Excuse the recycled trays!
Not shown: umbrella plant, banyan tree (currently outside) and a couple of young succulents (on other windowsill for maximum light)

I use recycle trays as well. Not the most attractive, but effective when in a bind. I need to get rid of the white Costco pumpkin pie tray. My office work plants.
