He was moving only a little bit, so was able to get close up. Looking faded and tired, found a good place to rest in my garden.

Bumblebees taking their eternal naps on flowers wrecks me every time. Late summer is so hard because bugs are winding down and getting to the end of their lives. At this point I just lie to myself and pretend they’re just taking a short rest 😅

There should be a permanent sticky or file of photos honoring these little precious beings in their final days/moments.
