Took my hibiscus outside to enjoy the heat during the day and the bunnies ate almost all of it. Pictured is one of two flowers they left….
Brought my aloe inside because it’s chilly at night, put it under a window, box fan fell on it and “pruned” it. It’s cleanly pruned now and back in its pot as I was too busy crying and picking up aloe stems to take pictures

It’s been a little rough over here 😅

Anyone else have any highly regrettable plant placement stories?

I have a hosta outside my front door that I’ve managed to keep alive all spring and summer despite the squirrels trying to hide their food in it and eat it at the same time 😭

Not so much a placement story as a pruning story… I had a monstera adansonii that was doing so well it was taking over the whole space. So I tried to divide it. Both sections (and every section I tried to propagate from it) died.

  3. The way the aloe is so cleanly chopped 😂 that’s tv sitcom lol but hey! I see a pup baby in there! You’re doing great!! 😌

I have a big pot of canna lilies on my porch that are hugely tall which makes the pot a little top heavy. We had a ton of wind the other day which knocked the cannas over on top of a cactus I’ve had for years. This broke off several cactus arms and I’m so mad about it. It’s not a huge cactus but those arms finally bloomed this summer and now they are gone 😭

Put my lithops outside to get some direct sun. Squirrels ate my biggest lithop that was one split away from dividing and nibbled on the rest.

We had a huge Christmas cactus in the front yard for the longest time – but then we got chickens. And the chickens decided it was the best place to sit and almost killed that cactus- we had to move it to the backyard lol

I went to check on my pink princess a few days ago and accidentally knocked something over which ripped off the leaf I’ve been watching unfurl
