I love my oak in the front yard but I see it has some lower branches that are dead. Is the health of the tree otherwise okay? Can I do something to keep it thriving?

Looks healthy, I’d just trim the lower hanging branches below or dead ones. I’d guess it’s because the lower branches are not getting enough sunlight due to the larger canopy above it.
