Hello!

We bought an acre of wooded land in New Brunswick, Canada. We’ve cleared less than 5% of it for our camp and want to leave the rest to flourish.

There’s a mix of hardwood and soft wood (maple, pine, spruce, fir, birch, poplar, etc).

We have begun to cut off the lower dead branches on some of the trees (mostly near the camp, to open up the view).

We are also creating a few small trails throughout, so we can explore but walk the same route every time (thinking a single trail is better than disturbing various paths regularly).

Just wondering if there’s any additional advice to help our little forest flourish?

TIA 🥰

Just leaving it be is the best way to help it. It’ll look after itself
