Why are my seedlings doing this? Oasis cubes, watering once per day with 0.6EC, 5.8pH. Seems like damping off but I took them into the local university for testing and they said it was negative for any biotic/pathogen issues by Barely-Boobage hydroponics 1 Comment Drjonesxxx- 9 months ago U got them tested 😂😭 Okay I will help you. Your plants aren’t getting enough oxygen in the root zone. Few ways to overcome this with seedlings. Before watering. I’m assuming u use a reservoir. You need an air stone and a small air pump. In your water at all times. U want to reach “TDO” Also know that warm water holds much less oxygen. In my studies I’ve found air, to be more important than water. U can quickly suffocate and drown your plants. Especially seedlings are prone to this. In these early stages. It’s good to keep them in a lil extra moisture. Because if they go full dry. They will die off quick. So oxygenate your water, and only water when the cubes are dryish. Like. The cube should be much lighter, before u water again. When they get older they will drink a lot faster and u will want to feed once every couple hours. Depending on what ur transplanting into.
