Newly completed greenhouse that's been up and running for the past 2 weeks. Every day I come out and on average find one or two large dead bees… The poor guy in the picture was in his death throes, and it kills me how it looks like he's reaching out :-(.
I'm 100% new to the hobby so some of these might be off base, but my thoughts so far are:
1-It wasn't until yesterday that I put on the doors, so there was a large 6'x7' gap for them to fly in and out of, so I don't think they're getting stuck…
2-I don't think it's the water? All the water in the system(about 350 gallons total in sump, solids filter, and main tank) has a low dose of general hydroponics flora series, and it's around 450ppm. PH is 6.4.
3-Six months ago before there was anything in the greenhouse, i had to hit one of the 2x4s with termite spray to stop a small *hopefully* localized infestation. it would have been dry months before everything was up. This is the only pesticide ever used inside.
And as general information- The system was being setup for aquaponics with an additional 2 grow beds planned, but I was only able to complete the one half this year. so instead, it's being treated as a temporary hydroponic setup. Since the picture, the sump and main 275g tote have been covered up to prevent algae.
Is this abnormal? Or am I freaking out for nothing…. Obviously I want to eat what I grow, so I'm a little nervous about things dying around the plants… Hope I'm just being silly about this

The heat? 🤔
You didn’t write which termite spray was used. Organic insecticides are supposed to last for one month, conventional 3-4 months, professional 5+ years. They are also marketed for carpenter bees. Now as long as your plants don’t get in contact with the treated area you should be fine?
I’m a bonehead when it comes to insects, and those are carpenter bees, which the termite killer that I used 6 months ago is rated for… I guess it’s still doing it’s job!
