I am propagating from my mom’s pothos. I just took the arms from the momma plant and cut them into pieces (with a node on each one) and put them into a jar with water on Wednesday. Today (Sunday) I’ve discovered baby roots already peeking out!!! Is that normal?

Pictures 1, 2, & 3 are 3 different ones growing. Picture 4 is a nubbin that is forming on one of the top cuttings (was the end of the arm)..what exactly is it?

Pothos are awesome like that. A piece of marbled queen was on the floor of Lowe’s two weeks ago. It was in bad shape. No water for several hours. Hot day. Pocketed it, stuck it in water, and now it’s rooted and has a new leaf coming. The two leaves that remain look like shit, but they’re disposable once it gets going. 😊

Pic 4 is likely an arial root. Pothos have strong rooting hormone, that sounds a bit fast to get roots, but definitely possible ☺️ mine usually take a week or so
