They’ll survive. If this post is true, that’s a ton of liability in the future as they’ll develop new leaders.
I assume he has the money to burn if he paid for that much work.
That’s how you end up (deservedly) fucked by the long dick of the law.

Cut off the top of his house so it matches the trees
I know these aren’t cut down but local govts often don’t mess around. A guy I know cut down 11 trees in Surrey, BC. The city fined him $5000 per tree.
The older I get the more I think people like this need to be taught a proper lesson. The problem is they don’t learn easily. The “eat-the-rich” progressives aren’t always wrong.
