Hi! Kadie here—I’m so glad to have run across your channel so many years ago when I was searching how to plant bulbs as a newbie! 🌷🌿I’ve been happily lost down the gardening rabbit hole ever since! I’ve appreciated this community you’ve built so much. I’ve also found so many wonderful channels and gardening YouTubers through the videos you’ve made (such as Janey with Dig Plant Water Repeat) featuring other gardens—narrow side yards, greenhouses, before and afters, etc. Do you ever plan on doing these videos again? I love finding inspiration for the garden! Perhaps when the season slows? Thank you for this amazingly supportive community! I look forward to traveling across the state next week for my 3rd annual trip to Andrews Seed! 🌿🪴🌱
In the South, Fireflies light up the night around my house and my one of my sons yard across from me! Some are super bright! We used to catch them as kids in a jar! 🫶🏻❤️🦋
Hello! Just wanted to let you know that I came across the delicate gold plated ornaments that your Mom has. They are by Reed and Barton and some can be found on ebay.
Why not add another layer or two of brick on the top of the pillar, reverse graduated (getting smaller), until the top of the pillar is the same size as the Haddonstone cap that you'd like to purchase? Do you think that would that work?
My husband and I did a road trip to the US (we’re from Vancouver Canada) and on our way home from Arizona came specifically thru Ontario Oregon to visit the your family’s garden centre. I was hoping to see you or your mom, but was really excited to see Monika! I would never try to find your home as that is so not okay! It was wonderful just to be at the garden centre. 😊
You use the word gifted a lot…. I'm one of your favorite fans, also in zone 6 Ky…. you can gift to me anytime!!!🤣🤣🤣 Love your videos and have leaned so much from you… I am 72 and still learning… thank you for all you do!
Hello – re blueberries. I live in the very southern tip of Illinois and have found the best berries are grown in a bog environment – around ponds for example. You might consider trying that type of planting. The best ones I ever picked were grown on the edge of a pond and were large and very sweet.
Hi 🙂 I don't think my questions have popped up in any recaps yet but I was wondering about the salmonberry plant in the high tunnel? How is it doing, can we see a picture please? I just visited a village in our area that is above the Arctic Circle and the low bush salmonberry plants were just starting to bud 🙂 Also- how did the artemisia (sp??) wreath come along? Did it dry nicely? I loved how full the one you made was! And! Can you please sell some prints of the beautiful flowers in your garden? I would love to get some hung up at work and home! Thank you!
Just a thought….maybe your Masons can add a brick edge to your pillars to shrink the tops down to the standard 4 bricks. Then you might be able to proceed with your Haddonstone caps that you designed sitting on top of that. It could be a subtle detail at the top that might give the look of a band of molding and turn out really nice. Then again, you know what you want it to look like….so it might also be a bust of an idea. Good luck!
I've been watching your videos for years and learned a tremendous amount. Having so many subscribers to your youtube channel puts you in the category of "stars" who people are naturally curious about. I think this is the downside of opening your life and home up to the world. It's actually a complement that so many people connect with you and your family. Obviously protecting your children is of utmost priority and importance. It's tough being a YouTube Star!
I always have issues with powdery mildew with my salvia. Plus they look HORRIBLE once the blooms are expended – even with a cut back, they just don't do as well. Changed out my salvia to veronica and very happy with the results!
I hope that you read this — it’s about the New Gen boxwoods. A garden center in Illinois where I shop has them for the first time this year. They looked beautiful and were huge tight spheres – maybe 24 inches tall and wide. We have had a couple strong rains this week. I just saw them after the rain and they were splayed open – way worse than what I’ve seen Sprinters do. Maybe they will bounce back or maybe they would not splay if planted in the ground, but I wouldn’t try them in a big project without testing them on a smaller scale for that reason.
I have Monroe Apricots. One tree and they a big and oh so tasty. Unfortunately, placement wasnt the best choice and I'll probably have to remove it. This decision was made before i was a GA. I am much better at infrastructure and planning planting.
Keep the kid’s bedrooms private. ❤ as much as I love watching your videos and getting to know your property. I also love you having boundaries and private lives not recorded. ❤❤
That gym is excellent! I’m so proud of you guys to do something for yourselves and given all the new research about building muscle & how great gardening is- your longevity score will top the charts! BTW, pink GA kneeling pad is my go to in our gym for everything on the floor ❤

Will you be doing any professional appearances in the near future?

I totally agree with all that say, keep your children's rooms private! I love seeing them with you and Aaron! They are so precious!

Wondering if you could make the caps out of fibreglass like planting pots. Would be lighter and still look like concrete.

For your gate pillars, would copper caps and finials work that will get a nice patina over time?

You both work so hard every day in such physically demanding jobs, I cannot imagine why you need to use equipment to work out. Respect!
I'm wondering if you tried installing bat houses out in the South garden if that would help with the mosquitos.
That Bonide sprayer would be GREAT for car washing! I need one!
