A new campaign to encourage gardeners to transform a metre of their garden into a space that encourages biodiversity is being launched by BBC Gardeners’ World.
As well as running across the TV programme and magazine, the ‘Make a Metre Matter’ campaign will also feature at its events.
BBC Gardeners’ World Live in June will feature gardens, features and content for the campaign as well as garden designer Pip Probert’s ‘Make a Metre Matter’ collection, which will bring some of the ideas featuring in the magazine to life.
A pollinator patch, mini pond and compost heap will all be included, and Probert has also designed metres dedicated to charity Greenfingers’ 25th anniversary.
The event, held at the NEC in Birmingham, will also feature a headline show garden designed by Nick Bailey.
