I needed some bits for my planting and growing so I paid a visit to Lidl and poundland to see which could help me out wit supplies

all right as you all know by now I like to do things early if I can and get them out of the way um as roots maneuver would say cracker Dawn rise I up when I move that’s what I am on today um I’m I bought some tomato feed backstory bought some tomato feed from the pound shop cuz it was closer closest place to me and you know all those peppers I planted I don’t even know if I’ve got a picture of them spr routed um seedlings it killed them it was too powerful I don’t know what it was I diluted it as the instructions but it killed him so I thought um what I’ll do is I’ll check out my local little for some but while I’m there cuz I noticed the pound shop had some gardening kit while I’m there I’m going to uh check out the whole gardening section to see what it’s like I don’t even if they’ve got one but I’m pretty sure they will have cuz the pound shop had one so I’m going to go and do check out Little’s uh garden section and I’m also going to go and buy some tomato feed from either b q or Wix probably Wix cuz it’s on the same road right let’s get cracking [Music] oh did set off as you know uh quite early I set off at 6:30 and uh little doesn’t open till 700 so I’m going to head to Wicks I think by the time I get there that will be open so I’ll do that get my tomato feed and then I’ll come back um and have a look around in there [Music] so this is the pound shop that killed my tomatoes I bought um some uh tomato feed actually we didn’t kill my tomatoes am I about killed my Peppers all of them actually all of my Peppers um what else was in there no it’s just Peppers all my I had a few different types of chili in there and I had a few some pled it’s not open at the moment cuz I’m an only bird um but I bought this tomato feed from there which is what I’m on my way to Wix to get now um I normally buy it from BQ but this is closer so I thought I’ll just see if they’ve got any so I’m passing that shop now and going to Wix or BQ Wix is closer so I’m going to go to Wix and see if they’ve got any this an only bite from BQ um and I bought it and I opened it and it didn’t look tomato feed in my experience and I don’t I’m not an expert in tomato feed but it’s normally red yeah starters and it doesn’t normally have a smell to it not a particularly it might have a tomato smell to it but not strong one this it SM sulfuric and I was a bit hesitant to use it in first and it was like a I’ll show you it was like a pinky pinky gray color and I was very hesitant to use it but I thought I’ll dilute it what damage can it do yeah so I diluted it correctly and it killed everything killed everything anyway uh I’ll plun the little uh Snippets in here and I’ll carry on my little journey to [Music] Wis for it’s worth paying a little bit more than a pound if it keeps your plants alive eh [Music] is [Music] [Music] t [Music] please place your back in the backing area and continue for [Music] [Music] we selection of pots got a wor pot seems like they’re partner with a company called Parks side plastic Raaz pter $14.99 selection of quite deep H this quite nice [Music] [Music] these are good how much are these so these are the little grow pots that you um can stick in the ground and they just decomposed naturally how much are they 19 199 for 40 it’s not bad big pots here A Cold Frame $1.99 not sure SI that balcony brackets that’s quite neat $499 if you’ve got a little small balcony that you plant in this is quite nice as well 30 quid for a stand up planter then you’ve got a Cold Frame like a plastic Cold Frame here which again is 30 grid some plant steaks I’ve got quite a selection some pretty ones and some bamboo ones a little mini green housee uh something that I might have actually you telling me there’s a CH flipping 60 Texas Chainsaw Massac electric chainsaw wow that’s mental [Music] [Music] [Music] so these prop Gators are $4.99 and there’s [Music] $3.99 sorry and there’s four in the pack so that’s a pound each so I think I might grab a couple of those to use so bought something at least it was worth the trip what are these water but or is it a water but warmer what Earth this collapsable water butt 25 quid I it’s like an awesome bit of Kit um I think I’d have to research that before 25 kid before I put random my pocket for one of those but that looks like a decent bit kit I know what the protection paint is doing in this section in the mops right right below this box [Music] weed pullers and you’ve got these wire brushes as [Music] well bunch of weed suppressant which is awesome and also you’ve got Cold Frame covers so stuff that you just put down over plants fleece I don’t think that’s the cheapest but it might [Music] be have to research that before I B CU I’ll be using some of that this year and a raise planter of a cover for 25 Nica which actually if that’s a decent price I might come back for one of those as well and a selection of pots and grow bags looks quite neat it’s a w grow bag set so you can PK it on the wall and grow your um herbs and get some pieces like that in it for a look at things [Music] [Music] you can see my little little uh garden section review is quite it’s finished um I wasn’t planning on buying anything but as you have seen I bought these um two four propagators cuz they were a pound each uh they look decent enough they put for uh 24 you can PL 24 plants and the ones I had although they plotted 48 they were so much smaller and I’ve realized you need a sensible amount of space in these for your plants to root so I’m actually glad I bought these they partner with this company called Parks side I don’t know much about um about them but there’s quite a lot of stuff there um you heard me talk about the pound shop earlier and actually the thing about that is I’ve only got myself to blame as I said I I went in there looking for tomato feed cuz it was closer um and actually went in little looking for that as well but they didn’t have any um and the thing is when I looked around at what they had in there they had a fair bit of stuff not as much as little just had um but it was all in the nicest possible way cheap T that’s not the nicest possible way is it but but it was just you know they had potatoes I hadn’t bought to uh my seed potatoes at the time I looked at them I thought they had onions I looked at them I thought things the thing that I would Pro possibly chance in the pound shop is flowers and that’s only because I’m not fussy about flowers I I’m planting flowers at my plot just to attract pollinators so as long as they’re colorful and they grow um I might buy a few of those from the pound shop but that is the only thing i’ buy as I say the Tomato feed I bought from there killed my bloody Peppers um and I should have known better um but even the little pots and bits and pieces the propagators and stuff like that you know I I went in there and if I saw something like these that I bought from little cuz I wasn’t planning on buying anything from Little either I would have bought it you know if I saw something that was you it was all a quid as well if I saw something that was a quid that was worth buying I would have bought it so I I’m not even going to go back in there for gardening uh equipment but I would actually go back in um if I was starting out I would probably buy all of my startup get from there cuz it’s decent price um and it seems this actually seems half decent quality um the propagators I’ve got just the bottom half of one and what don’t use the camera right but what tends to happen over time naturally these are from BQ actually and as I said these are the four 48 I’m pretty sure there’s 48 in there but they’re too small I think now that I’ve been using them but this I don’t know old this is now maybe 3 or 4 years but naturally they just decompose and fall apart over time taking you know what I mean um and the same happens to these tend to last the lid tend to last I’ve planted my onions in one of those um but the same I was going to say the same happens with the bases here just decompos and that that’s half the reason for actually having a greenhouse cuz they um when that happens on your nice I’ve got white window Ledges as well your nice white window ledge and they start to leak when you’re under water and it just does your window lges in you realize that you’ve got to do something about it so um yeah if I was starting out I’ve got so many pots and Planters you know every now and again I go to the garden center and I might I go to the garden center and I might buy some um already um puted plants every I just I can’t help it when I go to Garden Center I’ll see a certain type of squash that they’ve grown which is different to what I’ve planted and I think I have one of those and they tend to plant their um plants in nice well-sized um potting on Tre look these these these would have come from a garden center nice and deep there’s only nine in there I don’t know what I bought maybe they were tomatoes that I bought and this again the same would have come from a garden center as well nice and deep but I’ve got so many of those um that I don’t need any of that sort of stuff uh from Little I’m not sure they had it but if like I say if I was starting out I think I would go there and um get myself Ked up I was tempted to buy loads of stuff but I know I’ve got loads of stuff to use so what I will do is if I run out bits and pieces just down the road run down to little instead of the usual BQ or wix
