Scotland’s weather has been hit and miss so far this summer but when the sun is shining the garden is where we want to be. With the hopes of more record-breaking sunshine this month, gardeners will want to make sure everything is looking as good as it can be outdoors.
Dry spells of weather can wreak havoc on the lawn, with sparse and yellow grass the downside to the sunshine. But Amazon shoppers say that a ‘super speedy’ grass seed can sort that out in jig time.

The rapid-growth grass seed is ideal for quick lawn repairs or new turf. The premium blend grows into a dense, hard-wearing lawn that stands up to foot traffic, pets and unpredictable weather.
Specially formulated for British gardens, this seed can be sown from March through to October. It is also shade-tolerant and performs well even in low-nutrient conditions.

And if you have pets who have taken their toll on your lawn, you can try the Dog Patch Grass Seed from Avern, now reduced to £12.49 for a 1kg bag. It claims to repel dog pee and will help your grass to grow green again.
Elsewhere, B&Q is selling a 5kg bag of GardenersDream heavy duty grass seed for £32.49. Representing value for money, the product is suitable for lawns and play areas.

Amazon customers who have already purchased the Pronto Super Speedy Lawn Seed have given it a 4.2 out of 5-star rating across 21,000 reviews. One shopper said: “I recently purchased Pronto Seed Grass Seed to rejuvenate my lawn, and I am thrilled with the results!
“After carefully preparing my garden and ensuring the right conditions for growth, I can confidently say that this product has exceeded my expectations in delivering a lush, green lawn.”
A second added: “Speedy is an understatement! Wow! Planted the Tuesday evening during the heatwave as I knew we would be getting some thundershowers in the next few days.
