Also known as sudden plum or apricot wilt, is a disease that can severely damage or destroy plums or apricot.
It is most often caused by fungal infections, but it can also be the result of other factors. Symptoms include rapid drying and death of branches and leaves, and in extreme cases, the entire tree.

Causes:

Fungal infections: Pathogenic fungi, such as those that cause fusarium head rot, can attack plums and lead to apoplexy.
Bacterial infections: Bacteria, such as those that cause plum skin cancer, can also contribute to the development of apoplexy.
Physiological stress: Extreme weather conditions, such as drought or excessive moisture, can weaken the plant and make it more susceptible to diseases that lead to apoplexy.
Frost damage: Frost can damage branches and bark, creating entry points for pathogens.
Poor orchard care: Inadequate pruning, fertilization and protection can weaken plants and increase the risk of apoplexy.

Symptoms:
1. Rapid drying and death of leaves and branches.
2. Leaf color change to brown or black.
3. Tearing of the bark and the appearance of gel or resin.
4. Wilting and dropping of fruits.
5. Complete drying of the tree in severe cases.

Prevention and treatment measures:
1. Selection of resistant cultivars: Choose plum cultivars that are more disease and stress tolerant.
2. Proper Orchard Care: Ensure proper pruning, fertilization and irrigation.
3. Regular Orchard Control: Regularly inspect plums for signs of disease.
4. Chemical protection: Use appropriate fungicides and bactericides in accordance with expert or you can make home organic chemical by your self.
5. Removal of infected parts: Remove and burn infected branches and leaves to prevent the spread of the disease.
6. Improving ventilation: Provide good ventilation in the orchard to reduce humidity.

It is important to note that prevention is key to combating plum apoplexy. Regular care of the orchard and timely reaction to the appearance of symptoms can help preserve the health of plums or apricot.
