I have had my fiddle leaf fig for almost 3 years and of course when I got it it was absolutely gorgeous. Over the last 18 months, it has slowly been losing more and more leaves. I live in Michigan and I put it outside last summer where it did extremely well and seemed to bounce back a bit. This past winter, it lost almost every leaf and I felt like I had no choice but to finally chop it.
Around the beginning of May I started using a foliage specific fertilizer, and then on May 12th I finally made the chop. The first picture is right after the chop. A few days later, I also put keiki paste on the cut ends because I figured why not? Didn't have much more to lose!
We had a slow start to spring, so I have not been able to put the tree outside until this week but I am already seeing great progress! The leaf buds are just starting but I'm feeling so good about these early signs of success! Happy to update again in a few weeks once some real leaves are out if people want to see the progress!

Forgot to mention this is the fertilizer I am using https://a.co/d/8Cgexk8 but I think any 3-1-2 ratio would work!
