It’s our last post of the day, we hope you’ve enjoyed our takeover by @thelistbyhouseandgarden. As in city gardens there isn’t always as much space as one would like, @richardmiers created a false gateway into another imagined area with a mirror. It also brings light into the garden when it reflects the sun on the rear of the house. The bespoke trellis was designed not just to provide support for climbers but to be a feature in its own right with the upside-down arches and change in direction of wooden lattice. The many flowers were chosen to flower for as long a period of time as possible so there is always something of interest to draw one outside into the garden. Once there the built-in seating area provides an excellent entertaining space that can be used long into the night with the carefully positioned and subtle lighting and the addition of these gorgeous brass lanterns.
