This is my sweet baby, Figgie Smalls, who I’ve had for about 3 years now and he’s doing quite well. I do wish I could get the trunk(s) to thicken up. Do I need to cut down two of the thinner ones to allow the thickest one to have better chances of bulking up?

You need to give it a reason to thicken up. Give it a good shake 2 or 3 times a day, or put a fan on it periodical. That should signal it to ‘toughen up’ and encourage trunk growth.
