I was just curious if you guys could help identify the problem with this younger maple. Has patchy necrosis on many leaves. Possibly Anthracnose? Any IDs or treatments would be greatly appreciated!
That looks more like Anthracnose than Tar Spot. Besides, it’s a little early in the season to see tar spot, at least where I am.
Treatments – none. The amount of leaf damage is trivial. The fungicides you would use are preventative, meaning they would have to go on before you see any symptoms. And at the end of the year the leaves drop and you start fresh again.
