
I inherited a very tall fiddle leaf fig, and while it’s fairly healthy (maybe a bit overwatered) it can’t really support itself upright. I’ve got it zip tied and strung up, which as you can see looks a bit ridiculous. I’m going to try water propagating the four end stems, and if they end up successfully rooting, I’ve got a few plant loving friends who’ll give them a good home. The major task, and here’s where I need some advice, is how to improve the posture of the rest of the plant? There’s about 30 inches of trunk before getting to some decent looking nodes. How far down can/should I cut it back?
