had this violet for around 5 months now in LECA. never had problems till now.
brown spots on new growth, not crispy, just discolored and leaves are a bit misshapen. what should i do to treat? anyone know exactly what it is?

[Doctor Optimara](https://www.optimara.com/doctoroptimara/diagnosis.html) is a useful tool for this situation as there could be a variety of causes. You will want to click through the tool and answer each supplemental question regarding additional symptoms in order to get an accurate idea.
If you want my two cents, I see no indication of disease. The plant is either not getting enough water (unlikely if in LECA) or — and this is what I think is the most likely cause — there is a nutritional deficiency. LECA is an inorganic material with no nutritional value of its own. As it is, violets potted in a traditional potting mix require diluted feeding every time they are watered for proper development. If you are not feeding your violet, I would start there before changing anything else.
There are many resources for sufficient feeding routines available through sources like [the AVSA](https://africanvioletsocietyofamerica.org/learn/violets-101/fertilizer/) and [the Optimara website](https://www.optimara.com/africanvioletcare2.html). Your mileage may vary, so please do your own research to address your particular needs. If you are seeing signs of disease beyond what is pictured then I would advise you treat accordingly.
