Why are my frost proof gardenias have yellow leaves?

    Iron deficiency. Gardenias love Iron. Green veins and yellow margins are typical signs of Iron deficiency.

    Evergreen plants tend to have older leaves turn yellow before they fall off. It’s completely normal to have a few yellow leaves in the spring.

    Remove mulch from the crown. It’s buried in mulch.
