I plan to exchange African violet leaves with an out of state friend. I haven’t a clue how to ship them safely. Any hints or tips are greatly appreciated
1.Check the weather for the shipping location.
2. Make sure the mother plant is well hydrated.Cut longer stem just before packing.
3. Small ziplock bags/ sandwich bags are great container.
4. Sorround the bag leaves with tissue paper/ shredded newspaper or even just tape them to secure inside the box. No movement is the goal so it doesnt get toss around inside the box.
5. Label the box. Live Plants.
6. Ship priority 2-4 days.
