This is my most successful miniature (the only one in water…). Can someone tell me if it will be a good idea to:
1 prune the lower leaves and put the plant in soil( the worry is that the roots are short
)? or
2 transfer directly into soil without pruning(how do I do this without damaging its leaves which are in the way…)

Also, is it growing into a ball because of the shape of the container?

Can't say for sure but this breed is probably "Dawn Michelle". I want it to survive in soil too, but it didn't last long before deteriorating the last time I tried.

It looks healthy. I can’t provide advice, cause I just wing it all in growing things and it mostly works for me. You might take some leaves and root them in soil and have some back-up plants that way. And bonus, they are growing in soil! Don’t use the outer most leaves, but leaves from one row in from the outer leaves for rooting. I use a seed starting mix that I do 50/50 mix and perlite. Works for me.
