Hi! I finally got the courage to separate my violet as there were two distinct crowns and many suckers. It's five years old, and the stem was completely bent over. I decapitated stem, removed flowers, put in pots with soil, and put in ziploc bags. I've bagged them before and it's worked out fine. BUT I used clay pots which I've never done before. There's a lot of moisture in the bags (it's been 5 days), and I'm concerned about this. Should I be? I saved a bunch of leaves to propagate just in case it goes badly.

I find they suck moisture, but I live in very low humidity so thats why? Keeping the soil a bit moist but not wet is the key. Too much condensation in the bag can rot the plant. Open the bag to air out. It takes 2-4 weeks for the cuttings to root. Give it plenty of light but no direct sun🌞. Goodluck!🤞Happy Growing!🤗
