Besides like, “most basic common African violet cultivar in the grocery store”? 😅

I like to know the full names of my plants, and all I can ID is that the flowers are single and have a pansy shape. Leaves are huge at ~2.5 inches across the biggest!

Thanks in advance, y’all! 💕

If it does not come with a name it is forever a NOID.

No Identification (NOID). If it was purchased at a big box store and If it is an Optimara variety (it would have said so on the tag/stake) you can get an ID from their website or by emailing them. This should be for your information only though and you shouldn’t trade leaves or plants with that name since it could still be wrong. Hope that helps.

So, while probably a NOID, there is an option of possibly looking it up. It’s possible there’s an African violet nursery listed somewhere on the pot or tag or anything that came with it. Optimara is the most common at grocery stores near me, at least, and you can browse through their catalog and possibly find the right variety, if that’s what yours is.

It’s a long shot, but it’s not completely impossible if you have some info about it. If you’ve had it for a while, though, there’s less chance.
