My SOP is not thriving, she’s placed on the window sill, gets plenty of light and I water her every 7 days. She is near a vent, could this be the problem? I would move her but all my windows are near vents

Too much water. I only water my string of turtles when it’s completely dried out.
too dense of substrate for sure. they live 50-55% grit and def can handle more as well. they love tons of light. i prefer bottom watering all succs too
the substrate is staying too wet for too long
