I've had her for 1 year, she lost her flowers in winter and hasn't bloomed since. Her bottom leaves look discoloured… What is wrong with her? I'll repot her tomorrow.
Thank you! ❤️

She needs a good grooming so go ahead and take off all those lower leaves, anything discolored or not firm. What’s your light situation? How is your watering schedule and are you feeding with fertilizer at every watering?

Nutrient deficiency if I’ve ever seen one. A well rounded fertilizer will bring back color. I personally use a (NPK) 10-10-10 because I don’t mind if mine don’t bloom, and yours needs growth over blooming. Lots of violet fertilizers have 10-14-12 or so, but the 14 isn’t necessary in your case. The middle number promotes blooming, which you don’t need. If that is all you can find though, then do not worry and use what you’ve got available!

I personally use Bonide houseplant fertilizer liquid at 1/4th strength weekly, or if Im lazy, I’ll just throw some osmocote pearls on the soil and leave them be for a couple weeks. The way you fertilize is up to you, and everyone is different. As long as this plant gets any nutrients, it will help 100%!

We have a rule of thumb to use non-african violet specific fertilizers at 1/4th strength because they’re susceptible to fertilizer burn.
