I need advice. I feel like I am in toxic relationship with my figgy. She is moody, demanding and never does what i expect ๐ซ ๐. Should I chop this and make a new plant or just let it keep growing? For context the ceiling in this room is 14 feet, the plant is sitting on a stand that is about a foot off the ground. I guess it is about 8-9feet tall. Itโs standing okay on its own but it looks a little funky. I tried for a year to get to branch and then finally my husband forgot to water it while I was out of town for 2 weeks, it then lost a new leaf and finally branched ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ I feel the branch is too high up and it might topple over at some point. I bought as a baby plant from Costco 5 years ago and canโt handle the thought of it dying. Weโve been through a lot together ๐

Iโd choose right above where it branches out so it will branch out where you chop to get it more bushy instead of tall and thin. Also make sure you are fertilizing once a week in spring and summer once a month in fall and winter as potted plants get zero nutrients since not in the earth. Itโs gorgeous
