Are these okay in compost? Or even in raised garden beds?

  1. Looks like a grub. You could probably eat it if you want.

I found one in my garden bed and threw it in my compost been. I’ve been told they are destructive but thought it’d be good in my bin.

If you want a perfect yard, not so great. If you want to have wood chips and larger debris broken down, they are great!

Fine for compost bins but some aren’t so great for raised beds.
