Looks like a grub. You could probably eat it if you want.
I found one in my garden bed and threw it in my compost been. I’ve been told they are destructive but thought it’d be good in my bin.
If you want a perfect yard, not so great. If you want to have wood chips and larger debris broken down, they are great!
just a lil grub homie. when I find them I give them to my chickens for a treat
