Hey all, reached out 6 months ago after getting my first FLF. It has 4 trunks and was recommended to remove the string tying it. It spread about 8 feet wide lol.

In between that time we had our first human baby and really let go of care.

That being said about 3/4 weeks ago- started repotting and training process and happy to report “Gideon “ is now thriving!!!

Final two photos are taken right now. Looking for advice on the pieces I cut which can be seen in the last photo. Just leave it? Or trim back ever so slightly to encourage new growth?

The long in the short of it is six months ago it was recommended to wait till spring to repot. He had clearly outgrown the soil more so than anything else. It has basic nursery fertilizer and needed some pear lights three weeks ago he was repotted with a large succulent mix, 60% per light and about 20% regular potting soil 20% orchid bark. I’ve been taking delicate care after that every night he gets coolest distilled water. He’s been fully watered twice since that’s three weeks ago. He immediately perked up. I left his leaves to fall off naturally as he pulled the nutrients out of the leaves one by one I braided him twice the four stems and have since inch them closer together every five or six days he originally was tied together when I bought him was recommended to remove the Thai, which I did he rolled out completely or long story short he was no longer our top priority and the first photos in this series are him. It is absolute worst. He was on his deathbed and he’s come back super mighty, super strong, crazy veins crazy shine. I’ve been dusting him weekly as well as spraying him with distilled water and a couple drops of Dr. Bronner‘s Castile soap with lavender for the calming effect and they play rainforest and ocean sounds farm pretty well 24 seven he’s a happy tree I just wanna see some new growth start going. Should I just be more patient or do you think the little knobs in the last photo could be trimmed back ever so slightly to encourage new growth.

Thanks in advance for all of your help! The initial advice I was given certainly helped and I’m hoping to keep Gideon thriving!
