I’ve had this fiddle fig leaf for about a year now. When I got it, it was in pretty bad shape – browned leaves and about a foot and a half shorter. I recently pruned it and removed the damaged leaves, and since reading this forum started shaking the trunk to make it stronger. It’s currently attached to a bamboo stick to keep it upright. The new growth at the top looks healthy and bushy so I’m happy with that. Any thing else I should be doing? Water 1x a week with a good soak, pot has a drainage hole.

Fertilize once a week in spring and summer once a month fall and winter

Flf is tropical plant,it needs sunlight so much..it’s better to place it by brighter window..and if you want more branches and keep its height..you just always pinch the terminal buds(at stem’s tip)off..that can encourage more buds growing along the stem..and the stem also grow thicker

It looks like it needs more sunlight. Mine just started growing back down the stems (I believe I purchased it with a mold problem) after losing/removing all of them. It just takes a little time. They started just on the tips but once I started fertilizing it they started growing back on the stems.
