I did a stupid thing

I repotted my fiddle leaf today and as I pulled it out of the old pot I severed a main root extension that made its way into the bottom of this badly designed pot (see photo). 😩
The drain hole and the bottom of the pot are all one piece. I realized that the only way to save this MIGHT have been to break the pot. The plant has new growth and I realize I’m asking way too much of it.
Any advice or experience with something similar appreciated! 🙏🏼
