I want to prune my fiddle leaf fig because the middle part looks really sad.. I was thinking to cut it around here, is that a good idea to get more growth in the middle? Can I just leave the left and right branches as they are? Or any other ideas are welcome 🥹

I’d go middle line and also cut the two side branches back a few nodes. But also reposition the tree if you want more central growth – clearly the two sides are growing cus the light is on either side
My suggestion..chop all branches off..just keep a stump at 2-3 ft tall(丫⇒ |)..let it regrow, don’t worry your plant won’t die….
Now is April..do it asap!
Hi! It’s a little leggy because of the low light. The left branch is Leaning towards the window and the right towards the door. If you prune it, it will grow back the same way unless you increase the light. You could try notching first and just prune three leaves off each branch to stimulate growth. I
If you really want to start over you can prune the middle branch just and Inch then prune the other two branches to match the branch length of the center one. You can prune up to a 1/3 of the overall height of the tree. Just as a rule of thumb. Best recovery is outdoors on a covered porch in bright light in temps 55+.
