  1. Your kids make “potions” with plants. That’s a prime example of how that stuff happens to kids who may or may not be “weird”. I don’t tend to worry about that stuff much either, because I grew up doing that sort of stuff too, but the adults in my life always made sure I knew which plants were safe and which weren’t. It’s a valid concern, though, and I think the answer is to educate your kids (and to never leave toddlers unsupervised).

  2. Happy Birthday, Laura! I'm surprised there was a video, but I'm really glad there is! I hope you enjoy your day, your family, and this Easter ❤✝️🫶🐰🐣

  3. When i trimmed back my pine & spruce trees in HIGH PH area, I would cut them up & mulch them in my flower beds. They significantly brought up the acidity & lowered the Ph!! Worth a try!😉

  4. Pool vrs Horses… I come from a farming family. My sister and I wanted a ( above ground) pool at about 10 ish years old, our dad told us we had to earn the money too buy one and we would be responsible for maintaining it. We worked picking berries and other farm work and by the end of that summer we had the $500 a pool cost, the real lesson came when dad told us we had to wait until the next spring to get the pool because summer was over 😭 bottom line we had more fun with all our cousins and our neighbor kids using that pool throughout our entire summer. My experience with Horses is that unless you have large property conducive to riding or are dedicated to loading them to drive to a riding area often they become pasture queens that are for show only and your kids will quickly lose interest. Your kids will also begin wanting friends to ride with them so how do you accommodate that issue, like it or not kids quickly grow to not want to spend their time with mom & dad but rather with friends so I see a pool as the better family time investment saving the horses for a time when kids can drive and buy their own horses if they are so inclined. Just my two cents as 66 yr old farmer with a pool and a shed full of ATV’s instead of Horses 😅

  5. Happy birthday Laura! Thanks for always bringing so much education and entertainment. We appreciate you and Aaron so much. Happy Easter to you and your family.

  6. Happy Easter and Happy Birthday! This winter, we had a sudden freeze-thaw period, and several of my heuchera plants partially heaved. Can I dig them up and replant them lower again? They don't look great right now, but are getting new growth. Thanks!

  7. Happy Easter!
Really impressed with Aaron’s knowledge on video quality and uploading. These are things we don’t usually get to talk about, but they make a big difference. Great work behind the scenes!

  8. It would be so helpful for those of us who don’t exactly know what plants you’re talking about, to put a picture of the plant on screen. Yeah I know the editing would be brutal, but a lot of times you answer a question about a plant, with great detail, but my brain freezes because I don’t know what the plant looks like? I will particularly select plants or understand with visual descriptions, rather than the names.
I guess if it’s that important to me I could research it.
Just me and my brain wanting to understand fully. I Always Love your answering questions videos JFYI.

  9. County Extensions will also do soil tests. You will get a recommendation from the County Extension Horticulture Agent based on the test.

  10. Showed the penultimate question again instead of the final one. 😊💠✌️ My day is ruined and my disappointment is immeasurable… Just kidding! Happy birthday to ya, Laura!

  11. My coworker put a pool in his property when his children were nearing their teen years. He said it was a great way to keep his kids home….but he also had a lot of his kids’ friends.

  12. Fox glove grow wild where I am and when we were kids no one told us they were poisonous and we played with the blooms all the time. We pretended the blooms were trumpets. I would say imaginative kids will play with blooms. Your kids also make potions with what look like old flowers heads and garden debris. I think you need to teach children what to touch and what not.
