  1. Darn….i just put down new soil conditioner for my hydrangeas…. rose tone. Now I want to use this mix but still have my roses to fertilize, so will get these two and mix them!!!! is it too much to add some to my already fertilized hydrangeas?? 🤔🤔🤔🤔

  2. I also have a couple of new roses to plant.Should I use this mixture in the hole with my biotone or use my biotone in the hole, and also put this on top of my new plantings? 😊😊

  3. It was 2:00-something in the morning in Salem, Oregon, when I found that the new episode had been posted. (The older I get, the less I sleep. There's something fitting in that.) I enjoyed watching you two going around the garden giving little pats to the new sets of bloomers. Very relaxing.

  4. Hello there,
Hope you all had a nice weekend.
I've been a busy bee in my gardens too and began pruning my English roses and hydrangeas as well and made some good headway. I will definately buy the COM fertilizer you recommend to amend into the organic compost I applied yesterday.
I always enjoy watching your informative videos so thank you very much. It's nice to know you are here in my neck of the woods.
I'm in the Town of Bethlehem , just 10 mins south of Albany 🥰

  5. I'm looking forward to bloom time at your place!! I did mine last week, I was probably little too close to the base, oops!

  6. I'm so happy gardening season is upon us! Yay!
Another invaluable video. I feel like you two have become my virtual co-gardeners, lol.
Thanks for sharing these helpful tips and providing so much inspiration. ❤❤

  7. Awesome job guys and great idea to do a mixture like you did. I will do that this spring for sure 👍 Thanks for sharing i love watching your videos 😍💐

  8. …THIS has been on my to-do list for a few weeks now, and I've missed out on excellent opportunities, as we have been getting some lush rainfall here in Maryland. It feels so good when you have created the best conditions for beautiful garden performance. 🤗👌
    👩🏼‍🌾💚 =^..^=

  9. 🏳️‍⚧️🫡🇵🇷 Checking in from Bloomingdale Illinois. Was able to put in me Angel face roses yesterday and excited to see a fresh new video on spring fertilizing. I've got lots of hydrangeas and on my way to having roses so thank you for the much needed advice. I was born in the Caribbean and the way of the land is definitely a whole different story.

  10. Can I ask if you're invincible spirit Hydrangeas get large, as they seem planted close together…..i'm thinking they would form like a nice cohesive hedge being closer?😊

  11. I’m putting in a green giant arborvitae hedge. How far a part did you plant yours? I’m in zone 5 Michigan.

  12. Beautiful garden, I would love to know how you keep Japanese beetles 🪲 away from roses and rose worms? I planted some roses but can’t keep the bugs away even after spraying with neem oil and rose rx.

  13. At 19:14 I noticed to the right is a evergreen probably a Boxwood that has some yellowing on the leaves. What will you do with that? I planted some Green giant Arborvitae‘s last year and I noticed there’s yellowing like that on their leaves, should I remove that or just leave it alone. We’ve had so much rain. I’m wondering if it is from the rain and the wetness.

  14. I use Epsoma and ordered Plant Tone in bulk for this season and oh my… that stuff stinks but I know my plants will be happy lol

  15. I get terrible aphids and diseases on my roses. I have to use a systemic on them. I only have three bushes and I don’t plan on eating the flowers. But every other plant gets organic fertilizer.

  16. I also had to say that the chicken wire cage gave me the idea to surround my two water features with coated wire to keep my bland do from drinking from them. She would follow the sound, then get the runs later. Even if I had fresh water in a bowl. Since she can’t get to the fountains, she has to drink from her bowl. No more runs. Thanks guys!

  17. Next year I would like to see the crocuses and other bulbs in bloom too. The ones that are planted along the border. Wonderful video. Very helpful.

  18. Good morning 🌞 yes you guys have a lot of beautiful roses and hydrangeas they will definitely appreciate the happy meal.Did some of our hydrangeas Sunday, we also have as many as you but I only fertilized the ones that were budding out, some are still dormant! I see your boxwoods got nipped from the very cold periods, ours did too for the first time, when will you prune them in your zone? Many things got damaged this winter. We have Indica azaleas 25 years in the garden, keeping them always around 6' we lost several, a challenge indeed, they flank our 400' driveway! There is promise of warmer weather ahead🌞

  19. As long as you don't sell it, there is nothing wrong with snipping off a part of the plant that is rooted and plant it somewhere else! The law will only come after people who propigate for money usually or in mass amounts!

  20. Hey Neighbors, I also did my fert yesterday. Thank God I was done before the rain. I don't know how you guys are patient about this. I just broadcast Plant tone. With 1k+ plants, my senior mom and I just don't have the time to go around each plant. I do like that you just mix it with the fert and compost. The smell is probably not that bad. Yesterday, before it rained, our 1-acre property smelled so bad.

  21. 13:19 question would you guys prune up the brown off of the spruce (noticed at this moment in the video). I’m not sure what the browning is from but assume there’s probably plants that grow under this tree??

Also my seaside serenade under performed and had to come out as well!!

Love you guys and your work thank you always for sharing

  22. You guys are soooo caring of your garden and it truly shows. We really appreciate the level of detail that you put into your maintenance!! I love how you work as a solid unit with amazing communication. Totally on the same page.🤩

  23. I'm learning so much watching you guys. Okay I may have over done it with my Espoma Rose Tone fertilizer. I think I used an entire bag on three of my "At Last" Rose bushes that were performing poorly for the past two years. I have to say I listened to your suggestion and fertilized them "Really good" and they are really pushing out a lot of new growth.

  24. I just fertilized my hydrangeas with Espoma Rose Tone, and still have to go back and top dress with compost. Your method is much more efficient…note to self for next year. I think this video was a game changer for many of us.

  25. Wonderful information, thank you! I love you two and appreciate you both. I’ve learned so much and always look forward to seeing and watching your videos ❤️

  26. I have a new flower bed and its the first time to ever use drip irrigation. I used your videos on installing drip irrigation and found them very helpful. Do you have any sources you can share on how much to water new plants? The amount of water to give or not give is what is making me nervous about my new bed.

  27. Will you mulch those flower bed because I just started a big side garden last summer with 4 hydrangeas bushes and roses was unsure

  28. Thankmuou! I'm invithinia so I fertilized about a month ago..next year I will use the products you suggest. A quick question. Do you spray your roses to keep the bugs off? If so, what do you use?

  29. 😂 question of the day, what does alfalfa smell like…so funny! Thank you for another great video!

  30. l have found new inspiration in gardening watching you guys! 😊 although we grow totally different plants here in zone 9b, 10a l have used some of your methodology in my landscaping. lm not at the sale as you both, remember nothing stops growing here. Luv you guys❤❤❤😊😊

  31. Awesome team work! I adore watching all that you do in your beautiful gardens in such a pleasant 'garden bedside' manner. Even better is that I am in same growing zone just over in Ontario, Canada so I can now keep on top of what I should be doing at the same time your stunning videos come out. The information you both relay is wondrous!

  32. So cool. Here in Colorado (6B) so I very much appreciate you telling me the names of the hydrangea's & other stuff. Thanks for this.

  33. I love your method. So efficient. How nice that you both love gardening and can share ideas. My husband and kids appreciate the beauty, but gardening isn’t really their thing. I mainly garden while the kids play outside. I just fertilized my azaleas and hydrangeas and added some to my peonies, so I wish I saw your video earlier, but I’ll be ready for mid-summer/fall!

  34. I love that super scooper from Gardeners Supply! Sooo satisfying to watch it in use. As always, great video, great garden, and what a great duo you both make!

  35. Greetings from southern Norway… You are 3 weeks behind us. Have to move the lawn very soon and flowers everywhere now. Unfortunately a slug-explosipn too after a mild winter, but traps helps.

  36. Your garden is so beautiful I can’t wait to see it this summer. And Eric you look great! 👍🏾 you’ve lost weight since last season. Keep up the good work. 😊
