Our pile is super brown heavy now. Got ducks, and they make a mess of their bedding, so it gets changed out daily. 10 gallons of pine shavings every day. Looking forward to when I can get the mower up and running, hook up the bagger and dump in the grass clippings. Should really start getting a good sized pile then, especially since the active 4x4x3.5 bin is spilling over, it’s already so full. Luckily there are 2 more, one filled half way with 2 year old compost, the other with the remnants of last year’s pile, both just need to be sifted and dumped into the garden.
