Hi, I just got this SOH (4 inch pot), delivered today…not sure if it looks right? 😮‍💨 Got it from succulents box…I feel like it's been sitting under the Cali. Sun…not watered for a while🫠

I’d be repotting it and don’t let it hang out yet , lay them on the soil and let it root in and they grow like mad ! They try to escape, but flick them back in the pot and it will reward you big time !

You should do the taco test! Gently press the edges together like a taco. If it’s firm and doesn’t bend it’s fine on water. If it’s soft and bendy it needs to be watered. She looks like she may have lost some leaves maybe in transport. They knock off the vine very easily imo.

The strings look a little leggy on the ends but it doesn’t look bad to me. Give it a few days to recover from shipping before you water it. That was my mistake with the first couple SOH I attempted – even though they were in a very fast draining gritty soil and the leaves were bendy tacos, the roots didn’t take up the water due to the shipping shock. I’ve since learned to give any nge strings or purge succulents 4-7 days before watering. Those leaves can go completely flat – paper thin – so if they feel a little thirsty now, it won’t hurt them waiting a few days.

  4. I would personally chop it so all of the strings fall to about 1-2″ off the sides – you can then prop the cuttings just in case this guy doesn’t work out. Cutting it back will get rid of that leggy growth, and promote new growth points / more vines (: just cut a few mm below one of the leaves for each vine with a cleaned pair of scissors/snips

Looks nice and healthy to me. Just not very full. I expect more strands
