These are all of the containers I currently use in my garden! I’ve learned a lot over the last five years container gardening, so I also talk about how my container preferences have shifted over time. If there’s a specific container you like that I haven’t listed below, let me know and I’ll see if I can find it!

  1. Behren's galvanized bushels and buckets in various sizes. Lightweight, durable, and very easy to punch out bottom drainage holes with a rubber mallet and a short Phillips screwdriver.

  2. I love the array of pots and containers that you own! Sometimes I get caught up thinking I need to stick to the same colours and material types, but truly, it’s more interesting and it adds more personality I think to have a variety of different types, styles, and shapes😊. And yes 😅 as much as I love the look of large stone, concrete, or heavy clay pots, I also have realized they’re not the best choices for deck or balconies because of their weight and not being able to move them around easily. Plastic and resin options have come a long way now where they can imitate the look and texture of heavier looking pots while remaining lightweight, durable, and mobile.

  3. I love your elevated beds. You have quite a collection. I'm excited to watch you plant more seeds.

  4. You can get free containers or very low cost used ones on Kijiji. I wonder if those large raised beds would benefit from some stain to make them last longer. You could add some bright colours to complement your flowers that way. Stain and wheels sounds like a job to put Hubby on….

  5. hi. you're an excellent educator. thanks for sharing your world to us. i am wondering what kind of soil you are using for your containers & raised beds. thanks again & stay awesome!
