My pretty little Silver Dragon Alocasia was suffering from what seemed to be brown spot. Following an expert’s advice, I made cuts along the leaves where the infection was, leaving plenty of room, with clean scissors. For a while it was doing really well! Or it seemed like it. Now it seems the areas where I cut may also be getting brown spot, or maybe those areas are just dying back because of the cut? She is sprouting a new leaf in the center, and there are leaves that were not cut and didn’t have any brown spot on them. Does anyone know what’s going on?
Also, I plan to transition her to leca and a plastic pot very very soon – I quickly discovered that this terracotta is crazy efficient at wicking moisture – way more than I assumed it would be. If you have any advice about that too, I’d love to hear it.
