I received this African violet as a gift when it was much smaller, as someone who has never been competent with anything more than rubber plants and succulents it took me a while to get it into a healthy state, but it's been growing like crazy the past 6 months! It has uneven growth because I'm in a tiny apartment and never remember to rotate it in front of the window often enough to ensure uniformity, but I try (I don't have many spots in my place where there is indirect sunlight). Now I just don't know if I should keep pruning back all the leaves, and/or if I should keep moving it to bigger pots, or keep it compact. I've found that if I pruned it in the past it just makes the plant stalk "taller" but it keeps on growing.
(Btw in the last photo, it looks wet because I've been following a trick someone taught me to let it sit in water at the bottom of saucer for 10-15 minutes to let the roots sculpt absorb it, I dump it out after 10 mins and then it sits on rocks in the saucer for a few days before I water again — this seems to have been the best so far).
Any thoughts, should I leave it be, should it be moved to a larger pot, should I prune it?
