Here’s the development of my third set of Ficus lyrata leaves.

Observations:
– Larger red welts on the outer leaf while the inner leaf was generally unblemished
– No spider mite activity: 2 spray treatments (one week apart) did the trick but I’ll still be on the lookout!

2️⃣ Here’s the answer to *why* red spots occur, not just what *causes* them. I wanted to know the mechanism by which they occur so I can decide how realistically preventable they are – then I won’t needlessly blame myself or get disappointed when my leaves aren’t perfect.

Link in profile: a few *technical* plant care books that I’ve found useful.
