my candelabra cactus (I think??) had a hard time this winter… I'm not sure if I over-watered or kept it too close to the window in a cold climate or what but it basically broke. so I took it and cut so it would callus and I can replant. does this look like callusing or rot? I just love this thing and want to save it

Rot. Cut back about an inch above the mushy part or as far as needed til you find it nice and firm.
