We love variegated plants (AKA two-toned ones like our Marble Pothos that show a pattern or variation on the leaves)… but we got to thinking: what exactly IS variegation? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Turns out, it’s the lack of green pigment in chlorophyll of some plant cells. Over time, the plant industry has found these mutations and started propagating to continue growing the variegated plants we know and love.
