A friend of mine gave me a piece of her satin pothos to prop. I thought things were going well – plant leaves and roots seem healthy. But now she’s saying the roots are rotting because they’re brown/black. I felt them gently and they’re not mushy. Looks like the new root growth is white and then the older part of the root turns to brown. What am I doing wrong? I change the water about once a week. It’s about a month now since I started these. Any advice is appreciated!

They seem fine and healthy to me. They’ll be ready to transplant soon!
