Tomorrow (Thursday 6th August) these four 60 year old majestic London Plane trees with be killed because Hammersmith and Fulham Council think they will fall over and are a risk to health if they don’t remove them. What utter rubbish. There is something else at play here. If this was a private development site ever effort to keep every tree would have been made and fines introduced if they suffered. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour Hammersmith and Fulham Council. We need our trees to reduce city temperatures, be a haven for wildlife, remove pollution and produce oxygen, they are our great cities lungs. If anyone knows anyone one high up at the council who can see sense please let me know because we still have 24 hours to stop it happening.
