  1. I find most fertilizer has the big three, but I find the micro nutrients seem to play a big part. I gave some to a friend I tried last year for the first time that I had good results with. He was able to grow and get fruit from harvest things that he hasn’t been able to. The only thing different was the fertilizer.

  2. I bought 4 cases (8 bags each) of that Burpee bone meal on clearance at Home Depot. If you can find the Burpee blood meal & bone meal in stock, it should be only 90cents each right now!

  3. Amazon currently lists Espoma Organic Plant Tone (36 pounds) for $39.31, and my local ACE Hardware store (in Maryland) has the same product for $35.99. I hope this helps!

  4. Home Depot and Lowe's in North Jersey NEVER puts fertilizer on sale. I thought you would have mentioned worm castings.

  5. Thank you Gary for continuing to simplify the things many other gardening channels make overly complicated. Last year I bought a 27 pound bag of Garden Tone and it worked well with most of my plants in my small porch garden. Strawberries do seem to benefit more from the Berry Tone formula and Worm Castings for maximum production, especially in very small containers.
