Ehretia dicksonii var. japonica : suddenly discovered this #tree that had been quietly minding its own business until – ta-dah… it was covered with these #white flowers that stopped me in my tracks & now I see it with new eyes (though don’t go in for a sniff, not the nicest of scents!)! The #foliage itself is handsome, obovate in shape, rough to the touch so visibly textured… however; the super-exciting thing to now look out for is the development of the awesome looking fruits that should now develop… Native to open forests in #Japan & #China. This one is about 7-8m so far…can get to 15m
