#beforeandafter of Jungalow founder @justinablakeney’s back yard.

“The last slide was what this space looked like when we visited the house when it was still on the market. Once we got the house and moved in, the first major thing we did was install the French doors in our master bedroom that lead out to this area to help foster the indoor/outdoor vibe we wanted in the house. We also had the larger pass-through window installed in the Casita (formerly our garage) for the same reason, also so that we could create a little bar there.
For the ground, we reused the pavers that came with the house and added more to extend them out to the French doors. We’re fans of using what we’ve got so this was a good option from a sustainability standpoint as well as from a cost-savings standpoint. The chairs came with us from our old house, we had new cushions made for them in my outdoor fabrics from @calicocorners. Cafe lights and colorful outdoor rugs bring the magic. For the last few months, this space has been like a second living room and dining room for us (the dining set came from my pals over at @badiadesign) and the amazing plants with the big leaves are Tetrapanex—they were here when we bought the house but have since grown about four times the size that they were. We are constantly tweaking/adding and editing but we’re so grateful to have some outside space — especially now.” #beforeandafter #jungalow #backyard #patio #patiodesign
