What are people's views on terracotta for haworthia?
I'm limited in the pots available to me. I have been using terracotta for a few years now as I can easily modify it (widen drainage holes and file grooves in the feet).
I think these pots are a suitable shape for my haworthia and haworthiopsis but I'm curious to hear what people think.
Are some people entirely against using terracotta pots?
Has anyone faced any problems linked to using terracotta?

They’re great but if the mix is mostly granular or fast draining then they may dry out too fast depending on watering methods and frequency.
The only consideration I make with haworthias is to pick a pot that is on the deeper side (like yours) to allow for their long roots. I have haworthias in both terracotta and ceramic. If using terracotta I’ll water much more often but can get away with a slightly richer soil mix, which they seem to love.
I’d actually like to find deeper terracotta pots that *don’t* have holes to cut down on the watering frequency (if anybody has seen any?). I live in a very soupy, humid region but can’t keep up with the watering requirements of my outdoor plants in terracotta, they’ll dry out in 1-2 days. Of course, pot size matters and smaller dries out more quickly. I’m currently watering a tomato plant in a 21″ terracotta pot twice a day. I won’t do that again.
